About Me

Hi! I’m Gillian, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Who Am I?

My story probably sounds familiar to a lot of entrepreneurs. I threw myself into building my business, spending countless hours cultivating brand ambassadors, growing my customer base, and chasing ambitious targets. In the beginning, the fast-paced hustle was exhilarating. I thrived on the energy from client calls and the positive feedback that only fueled my drive to go bigger.

But that grind came with a cost. The relentless pace started to wear me down, and I found myself struggling with anxiety and stress over the future of my brand. My father’s advice echoed in my mind: “Don’t fight the ocean; learn to move with it.” It was a wake-up call that I needed to adapt, let go of the grind, and find a new rhythm that respected both my business and my well-being.

Reinventing Marketing, One Idea at a Time

Marketing didn’t choose me—I stumbled into it at a fourth-grade career fair and never looked back. Twenty years later, I’m as passionate as ever about chasing new ideas and finding smarter, better, and cooler ways to do things. I thrive on blending creativity with strategy to make a real impact, and I’m always on the lookout for the next big idea.

I’m what some might call a “renaissance marketer.” I live for the challenge of solving old problems with fresh ideas. And while I’m driven by growth, I’ve learned that success is more than just hitting targets—it’s about finding freedom, joy, and peace in the journey.

Today, that’s exactly what I bring as SheEO of Broken Glass Ceiling Marketing: a commitment to helping others break through their own barriers, all while staying true to themselves.

Acting Heart-First

At my core, I’m a Southern woman who loves a clean house and a full heart. I live in Raleigh, NC, with my wonderful family and three dogs, and I’m grateful every day to be living the life I’ve built. You’ll usually find me tidying up, making sure everything has its place, or chasing down new ideas in my journals and magazine clippings.

When I’m not working, I pour my energy into causes close to my heart, like helping animals and supporting at-risk kids. For me, life is about lifting each other up, and I try to bring that same spirit of love, kindness, and reinvention into everything I do.
